I have always been fascinated by the world around us—more specifically, the incredible creatures that God has given us. As much as I love traveling to far-off destinations, there is something truly special about exploring the beauty right here in our own backyard. And now, thanks to an exciting new series, I’m feeling more inspired than ever to do just that.

The Americas, narrated by none other than Tom Hanks, is a breathtaking journey through the landscapes, wildlife, and wonders of our continent. With 180 episodes and over five years in the making, this series is a labor of love that showcases the raw beauty and diversity of the places we often overlook. From towering mountains to vast deserts, lush forests to hidden coastal gems, The Americas reminds us just how much there is to see—without even needing a passport.

As a travel advisor, my mind immediately starts spinning with ideas. What if I took inspiration from the places featured in this series and crafted incredible travel experiences around them? There’s something magical about seeing these landscapes on screen and then experiencing them in person. Imagine standing where wild horses roam free, hiking through untouched wilderness, or watching the same breathtaking sunsets that have been filmed for this epic series.

While I’ll always have a passion for international travel, The Americas is a powerful reminder that some of the most awe-inspiring destinations are right here at home. Whether it’s the dramatic coastlines of the Pacific Northwest, the vastness of the Great Plains, or the rich biodiversity of the Everglades, there is no shortage of adventures waiting to be had.
